WASHINGTON DC, May 13, 2024 鈥� The 欧美情色片 Association (欧美情色片) released the following statement from聽欧美情色片 Vice President of Markets & Transmission Carrie Zalewski after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced its final rule on regional transmission planning and cost allocation, Order No. 1920:

鈥淭oday鈥檚 announcement is an important step in building out America鈥檚 electric grid for a clean, affordable, and reliable energy future. We commend all those at FERC who have helped reach this important milestone in the development of the transmission infrastructure our nation needs鈥攂ut it cannot be the finish line.

鈥淔ERC has acknowledged the multiple benefits that transmission provides and has set out a process to ensure that all beneficiaries help to fund projects that reduce customer rates and keep the lights on. If implemented effectively, this will lead to much-needed expansion in transmission capacity on the U.S. grid. At the same time, there are also areas in the rule to build upon, especially with regard to the integration of new resources and enabling more transmission between regions.

鈥淲ith demand for electricity growing, extreme weather becoming more common, and America鈥檚 power grid getting older and struggling to keep pace with the need for transmission expansion, the time to act is now.鈥�
